It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Leonardo at the age of 69, on Sunday, November 8, 2015. He is survived by his loving wife Lidia, with whom he shared forty six years of marriage; his daughter Yolanda and her husband Alain Martinez; and his son Paul and his wife Melissa. He was an awesome "Nonno" to Nathan and Lucas. Leonardo is also survived by his sister Concetta Di Risio, his sister Rosa Di Carlo and her husband Franco, his sister-in-law Maria Di Risio, Angie Di Risio and Lily Birt and her husband Joe. He was a loving uncle to several nieces and nephews. Leonardo is predeceased by his older brothers Nicola and Tommaso. Leonardo immigrated to Canada in 1963 and worked at the Ford Motor Company for thirty eight years. Leonardo will be remembered by his many friends as a kind, generous and fun-loving man. He was the vice-president of the Oakville Italian Club where he was respected and liked by all. The family extends a special thank you to the dedicated service of EMS staff, the police, the fire department and the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital staff.

Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) from 2-4 and 6-9 pm Thursday. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, November 13, 2015 at St. James Catholic Church, 231 Morden Road, Oakville. Interment at Glen Oaks Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada.
