On Tuesday, October 4th, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Loving wife of Trevor Misiurak. Daughter of Howard and Sharon (Desreuisseau) Noyes of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina. Sister of Sara Noyes and her husband Kevin Keohan of Quincy Massachusetts. Daughter-in-law of Gale and Marjan Misiurak of Oakville. Sister-in-law to April (Misiurak) and Brent Ottewill as well as Graham and Veronica Misiurak, all of Oakville. Beloved aunt to Hardy, Soleil, Avery, Kasey, Adam, Dresden and Xayvian. Leah will also be missed by her grandmother Stella Noyes of Athol, Massachusetts and her many aunts, uncles and cousins. Leah was born in Augusta, Maine and raised in Chesterfield, Virginia, just outside of Richmond. Leah graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a degree in Art Education. Leah met the love of her life, Trevor, as a teenager while on vacation in Florida. They reconnected several years later and were married in a joyous occasion at Niagara Falls in September of 2013. Leah maintained close friendships from her time in both Virginia and Oakville. Leah was loved by her students and fellow teachers at Forest Grove Preschool in Oakville where she and Trevor lived. Those who love her know that her kindness and generosity cannot be captured in words. Leah's family would like to express their deep thanks and gratitude for the support of Leah's friends and family throughout this difficult time, as well as the kind care from the nurses and doctors of Trillium Health Partners Hospital in Mississauga, and Ivanna and the other supports from ParaMed Home Health Care. There will be a one day visitation on Tuesday, October 11th from 1-3 pm followed by a brief memorial service at 3 pm at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (www.koprivataylor.com).
