Peacefully, after a courageous three year battle with metastatic breast cancer on Thursday August 9, 2018 at Ian Anderson House, Oakville. Laurie, beloved wife of John. Loving mother of Siobhan and Connor. Loved daughter of Jeanette and the late Richard Tomkowski. Cherished daughter-in-law of John and Gonnie. Dear sister of Linda and her husband Ted Kolanko and Lisa and her husband Steve Pope. Dear sister-in-law of Shannon and her husband Rob Thomson. Devoted aunt of Jennifer, Sarah, Ryan, Lauren, Garrett and Avery. Laurie's zest for life, passion for travel, her beautiful smile and devotion to her family and friends will be remembered by all those whose lives she touched. Visitation will be held at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville on Monday August 13, from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday August 14 at Saint Matthew Parish, 1150 Monk's Passage, Oakville at 11 am.  A reception for all will follow the mass at Le Dome Banquet Hall, 1173 North Service Rd. East, Oakville. If desired, remembrances to Ian Anderson House, Princess Margaret Hospital or Credit Valley Hospital would be appreciated.
