After a memorable visit with his children who shared laughs and memories, Ken passed away peacefully in his sleep. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 63 years, Lois (nee Coates). Loving father to Doree (Bob), Ken (Patti), Gary, Mike (Franca). Cherished grandfather to Marion (Marc), Gary (Kendra), Nathan, Ryan, Mathew, Alicia, Christopher great grandfather to Sienna, Ella. Survived by his sister Beverly Homme (Raymond), sister-in-laws Marlene Benstead, Barb Coates, brother-in-law Joe Morgan (Evelyn). Predeceased by sisters Marion, Doris, Nora and brothers Don, Dave, Raymond. He will be dearly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Born in Windsor, Ken moved his family to Oakville in 1958 where he became a highly respected Staff Sergeant on the Oakville Police Force. He finished his career in London as a distinguished Inspector with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission where he retired in 1998.

An accomplished fastball player, Ken was highly recruited for his prowess at bat, on the mound and in center field. He leaves everlasting memories to all who enjoyed his company. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street, 905-844-2600) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, April 27, 2018. A Celebration of Ken's Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 28, 2018 in the Kopriva Taylor Chapel. Interment to follow at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery, Oakville.
