Kaz passed away, after a short illness, at York Central Hospital, Richmond Hill. He was predeceased by his parents and brother and is survived by his daughter Katarzyna. He obtained his Engineering degree in Poland and until emigrating to Canada in 1970, held the position of Vice-President of the Institute for Research into the development of new welding techniques. In Canada, up until the time of his retirement, he worked under contract for several major engineering companies in the Toronto area. He was an avid skier and inventor, developing a prosthetic device for improving poor posture and a ski-training apparatus amongst other things. A funeral service and cremation has taken place but a gathering for family and friends took place on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. West, Oakville, (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) at 12:30 p.m.
