Katie Way

1940 - 2022

With heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Katie Way on Monday, March 7th, 2022. Katie was the proud mother of David, loving mother-in-law to Amber, and beloved wife of the late Robert Way.  Her grandchildren, Juliana and Jamie, were the bright lights in her life.  Katie will be greatly missed by her family and remembered with fond stories of family trips, cottage life on Balsam Lake, celebrations and proud moments. Katie was daughter to Manda and John Sarich (predeceased), and sister of the late Joe Sarich (Cleta), Mary Yamich (predeceased), Joan Coventry (Ralph) and Tony (Rosemary). Katie was the happiest when surrounded by her family, including her many nieces and nephews.  She had a competitive spirit and thrived on the tennis court. Katie shared her passion for gardening and bridge with her close friends, and she will be lovingly missed.  A private family service was held at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, and a Celebration of Life will be held in the spring. If desired, donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Cancer Foundation .
