After a two week trip to Ireland and Scotland, Kathryn "Katie" McAlindon, in her 24th year, suddenly and unexpectedly passed away on Sunday May 23, 2010 in Oakville. After graduating OTHS, Katie had graduated "Honours with Distinction" Hons B.Sc. from Queen's University in Kingston in 2008. At the time of her death she was pursuing a Masters Degree in Chemical Engineering at Queen's. Katie is the beloved daughter of Hugh and Cynthia (nee Teetzel) McAlindon and younger sister of Erin McAlindon, all of Oakville. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville from 7-9 pm Thursday and 7-9 pm Friday. A funeral service will be held 11:00 am on Saturday May 29, 2010 at Maple Grove United Church, 346 Maple Grove Drive, Oakville. Cremation to follow.
