Conway, Kathryn Ann "Kathy"

It is with deep sadness that we share the sudden and unexpected passing of Kathryn Conway on Friday, December 1, 2017. Kathy was born in Hamilton, Ontario on July 16, 1950, the daughter of Samuel and Phyllis. Her childhood was spent in Montreal and Burlington with siblings Robert and Patricia. Kathy attended Queen's University where she met many of her dearest friends. She developed lasting friendships throughout her career over the years as well, most recently at PwC and McCarthy Tetrault. Kathy also cherished her time with family, particularly the years spent with Peter, Katie and Teresa Janecek in the Oakville/Toronto area.

Kathy will be remembered for her wisdom, compassion and desire to make others laugh. She was always asking others questions, which fell in line with her motto of 'to be interesting, act interested'. She was also an avid reader and a published author herself. Her love of books is what prompted her to start volunteering at the Library.

Kathy was a friend and mentor to many. She will be very much missed by all those that knew her. A visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr St.) from 7 - 9 p.m. on Thursday, December 7th. and from 9:30 a.m. on Friday, December 8th with a memorial service at 11 a.m. in the chapel.   In lieu of flowers, donations to the Oakville Public Library would be appreciated.
