It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Kathleen (Kay) Wylie (nee McFadyen), who left us peacefully on August 18th at the age of 91. Predeceased by her beloved husband of 44 years Alex Wylie.

Born in Paisley, Scotland, Kay carried her heritage proudly throughout her life, bringing with her a spirit of strength, warmth, and resilience. Guided by compassion and a true dedication to helping others, she devoted her career to nursing and caregiving. Her gentle hands and kind heart touched countless lives, both within her profession and among those blessed to know her personally.

Above all, family was the center of Kay's world. She was the loving mother of Joan Slacer (Mike) and the cherished grandmother of Shannon Proulx (Matt) and Brody Slacer (Mallory). She was also the proud great-grandmother of Georgia, Piper, Everett, and Collins, who brought her immeasurable joy and laughter.

The family would like to thank all who have shared their kind words and memories during this time. In keeping with her giving nature, donations in her memory may be made to Ian Anderson House where she finished her career and helped those feel comfort during the end of their life.

Her love and light will live on in all of us.
