Obituary

Kathleen (Kay) Rose Jamieson

Kay passed peacefully on September 27th, 2023 in her 90th year at West Oak Village LTC home. Born December 26th, 1933 to Florence and Edward Meyer in Carthage Ontario. She met and married her wonderful husband Keith Jamieson (Dec. March 12, 2010) while they both worked at Sterns. They were both active members of the Oakville Curling Club. They moved to Oakville in 1963 and started a family.

Kay will be missed by her son, Ian (Lisa) Jamieson and Daughter Mary Beth (Brian) Clouse. She was a wonderful nanny to Matthew (Eleanor) and Andrew ( Megan) Jamieson and Stephanie and Allison (Josh) Clouse. She was blessed with great grandchildren Reagan and Miles Tessier-Jamieson and Angus Jamieson.

Kay was the second child in the family, predeceased by her bothers Bern (Ruth), John (Pat), and Lou and by her sister Janet (Jerry). She will be fondly remembered by sister Marlene (Bob-2019)and sister in law Diane, and her many nieces and nephews.

Kay lead a life of service through the church, where she was past-president and member of the St. Dominic's CWL for over 60 years. She spent many hours volunteering at Birthright, meals on wheels, and visiting the sick in hospital. She enjoyed playing bridge and visiting with her many friends, particularly Pauline and Bob Shatford. She loved to hike, read and baked the best chocolate chip cookies!

The family thanks the staff at West Oak Village and Dr. Huang for their wonderful care, along with caregivers Monica and Haley.

The visitation will be held Wednesday October 4th from 5:30-7:30 pm at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd W. (One block east of Kerr St.) Oakville. A funeral mass will be held Thursday October 5th, 2023 at 11 am at Saint Dominic Catholic Church, 2415 Rebecca Street, Oakville. Cremation to follow.
