November 12, 1922 – December 27, 2019
Passed away peacefully at Delmanor Glen Abbey in Oakville, Ontario on December 27, 2019, at the age of 97. Kathleen brought kindness, generosity, fun and love to all who knew her. She was born in Alfreton, Derbyshire, England.
In WW11 she served in the W.A.A.F. in England and Scotland. It was during this time that she met her Canadian husband-to-be, Harold Sampson Day serving in the R.C.A.F. She immigrated to Canada in 1946 to marry and start a family.
She is predeceased by her parents and siblings as well as husband, Harold (1909-1999), sons, John and Andrew, daughter-in-law, Gretchen, and two grandchildren, Matthew and Kaitlin.She is survived by her son, James (Debra), daughter, Elizabeth, and daughter-in-law, Carol. She will be lovingly remembered by her grandchildren, Thomas, Allison, Lorian, Lauren, Trevor, Amaranth, Louis, and Andrea. Kathleen also extended her love to her nine great grandchildren, Morgan, Lauryn, Scarlett, Isabella, Olivia, Carlos, Hector, James, and Lucas.
She will be remembered for her fabulous family meals, her sense of humour, quick wit, and loving, giving nature.
As per her wishes, a private family service has been held.
