Kathleen passed away peacefully in the presence of her family on December 28, 2017 after 95 eventful years. Predeceased by her husband Bert of 56 years, Kathleen was a devoted mother to Anne (Rob Muru) and Jamie (Yani Hamdani), a loving grandmother to Jackie, Matti, Graydon and Zoe and a proud aunt of Paul, Steph, Jen, Sam and Greg.

Kathleen and her twin sister, Eileen, were born and raised in Oshawa. Their childhood friends (the "Oshawa group") would remain an important source of friendship for their entire lives. Experiencing both the Depression and  WWII in her formative years, Kathleen developed a strong sense of independence and resolve.  She worked as a laboratory technician for the Red Cross and travelled across Canada, the Arctic, Europe and North Africa. In the 1950's, she founded her own business, Clini-Path Laboratories Inc., based in Montreal. While there she met Bert. They were married in 1960 and together they raised their family, eventually settling in Oakville. Kathleen will be fondly remembered by her family and friends for her great sense of humour and her love of life.

Visitation will take place at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (905-844-2600) on Monday, January 8 from 6 to 9 pm. A private funeral mass will be held for the family.
