IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Karen Di
Clemente
November 12, 1957 – August 29, 2018
It is with great sadness that we announce the loss
of our sweet Karen. After a courageous battle with brain cancer, Karen
passed away in the loving arms of her family on August 29, 2018. Deeply
loved and cherished by her husband, John, and their daughters, Kristina
(Patrick), Heather (Chris) and the late beautiful Deanna. Loved daughter of
Bob, his wife Emily, and the late Helen Grant. Cherished daughter-in-law of
Amalia and the late Vittorio Di Clemente. Dear sister of Betty-Anne (Rod)
Heikkila, Theresa (Scott) Ginther and Jim (Jennifer) Grant. Dear sister-inlaw
of Lino Di Clemente, Anna (Nick) DeFilippis and Lora (Chris) Cirkon.
Karen will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Raised in Oakville, Ontario, Karen had a love and talent for art and dance.
After graduating from Queen's Commerce in 1981, Karen went on to
complete her Chartered Accountant designation. Shortly after, Karen
married John, the love of her life and very best friend. They went on to
have three daughters, each fiercely close to their loving mom. Karen
always made it clear that her biggest goal in life was to be an incredible
mother to her 'girls'- and that she was. She created experiences, started
traditions, and made lasting memories with and for her family.
Karen will continue to mother in heaven as she is now reunited with her
eldest daughter, Deanna- a reunion that warms all of our hearts. There is
comfort in knowing Karen's own mother is there too. A beautiful smile,
unwavering love, guidance, loyalty, warm hugs, delicious butter tarts, and
her generous listening ear are a few of Karen's many wonderful attributes
that will be so deeply missed.
We would like to offer a heartfelt thanks to our family, friends and the
dedicated health care professionals for their support.
