After a courageous battle with cancer, the family is saddened to announce Karen's passing on Sunday, August 31, 2014 at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital in her 67th year. Beloved wife of Vianney for 46 years. Cherished mother of Denise (Elio Gafanha) and Deanne (Lee Collins). Loved Nana of Jamie, Anthony, Dylan, Devon, Liam, Brielle and Mason. She is survived by her sisters Frances (John Murray), Yvonne (Charles Graf), Bernice (the late Joe Csaszar), Susan (Rick Collier), Colleen Durrant (Remy), and Pauline Durrant. Karen will be sadly missed by many loving nieces and nephews and other relatives. Thank you to the ICU nurses of OTMH and special thanks to Cindy and Violet. A Memorial Visitation will take place at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) one hour prior to the Celebration of Life Service at 11am on Thursday, September 4, 2014 in the Kopriva Taylor Chapel.
