Obituary

We only had you for a short time but you left an indelible mark.
May you find peace and joy in the new realm you reside in my son.

This man with a heart of gold, a generous soul with strong convictions and a quirky sense of humour, has left us far too soon. Julian...Alex, to those who knew him, worked hard and played hard. He was always there to lend a hand with his expertise in most anything to do with the structure of a home. From the time he was little he loved to build things. He had a great work ethic and never shied away from hard tasks. To those who taught him the trade, thank you. He was a sponge when it came to YouTube "How To" videos and loved documentaries. He did not recognize his own wonderful creativity or really appreciate the value of how much he was loved and liked. His struggle with depression was real, although he hid it from most with his sense of humour.  He was born in Toronto but spent most of his life in Oakville, Ontario.
He leaves behind his mother Rebecca Schorr, his dad Randy Bigg, his two younger brothers Devon (Anne Hoffman) and Mitchell Schorr-Bigg, and his Oma Christel Schiwy and his Opa Helmut Schiwy along with wonderful friends.  A Celebration of Life will take place at Kopriva-Taylor in Oakville, on Friday, March 18 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. with a service at 6:30 p.m. There are no capacity restrictions, just masking in place. If desired, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CAMH.ca Foundation.

Change
If they are not ready, they are not ready, whether for love or truth or healing or metamorphosis.
Transformation only happens when one is willing to receive it, and as much as you want nothing more than to watch the beauty of a life once trembling, restored, sometimes all you can do is walk beside them until they come to their senses.
Then be the gentle soul that takes the path of light, remaining steadfast and full of grace.
Change cannot be forced, it must be chosen.
