It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our family patriarch Josip sitas on June 6, 2026. Born in Osijek Croatia to Josip And Kata Sitas. He grew up in rural Croatia where he met his wife Janja and they started their family. They spent two years working in Germany before immigrating to Canada in 1970. He is survived by his loving wife Janja their two sons, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. At age 70 after a liver transplant and second chance at life they purchased a farm in Kimberly Ontario where they enjoyed 14 years of tranquil happiness together.

Visitation will take place Thursday June 11, 2026 from 5pm - 9pm at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home. Funeral mass Friday June 12, 2026 at 10am at Holy Trinity Croatian Church.
