Peacefully passed away at Post Inn Village in Oakville on Monday January 29th in his 97th year. Predeceased by his wife Anne in 1984 and great grandson Michael in 2007. Beloved father of John and Michael (Anne Marie), step father of Nancy (Peter) grandfather of Patty, Stephen, Joe, Janet, Stephanie and Mark and great grandfather of eight.

Dad emigrated to Canada (Sudbury) with his parents in the 1920's only to return to Croatia in the 1930's and then back to Sudbury in the early 1950's where he reconnected with a childhood friend who he would later marry (Anne).

Dad worked and retired from INCO in 1979 at which time the family moved to Oakville.  Dad was an accomplished musician who played and taught many stringed instruments. In particular, from an early age, he played the tamburitza and led tambura groups in Sudbury, Oakville and Hamilton.  In his spare time, Dad enjoyed gardening, making wine, word puzzles, watching soccer and hockey, Croatian picnics, and travel. Special appreciation to the caring staff at Post Inn Village (Willow floor).
