It is with profound sadness and hearts laden with grief that we announce the passing of Josefina Geldres de Camino, who departed this earthly realm on May 11, 2026, in the serene city of Oakville, Ontario. Born on May 26, 1934, Josefina graced this world with her presence for nearly ninety-two years, leaving behind an indelible legacy as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and cherished friend.
An illustrious Industrial Accountant by profession, Josefina carried herself with the utmost grace, a steadfast faith, and a strength borne from a life dedicated to unconditional love. She was a woman whose kindness and wisdom touched the lives of all fortunate enough to know her. Her timeless spirit, marked by warmth and generosity, will forever remain etched in the hearts of those she held dear.
Josefina’s journey was one defined by devotion—to family, faith, and community. She shared her life tenderly with her beloved husband, Carlos Camino; together, their union was a testament to enduring love. She was a guiding light to her children, Marlene Galleno, Jules Camino, and Margaret Donda, whose lives she nurtured with unwavering care and support. Her legacy blooms ever brighter through her grandchildren Francesca Vázquez, Italo Galleno, Fabrizio Galleno, Gianfranco Cueto, and Leandro Donda, as well as her great-granddaughters Eva Luna Vázquez and Ayla Río Vázquez, all of whom carry forward the values and affection she so lovingly instilled.
We invite family and friends to join in commemorating Josefina’s remarkable life. Visitation will be held on May 14, 2026, at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, located at 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville, ON L6K 1E1, with gatherings from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on May 15 at 11:00 a.m. at Mary Mother of God Church, 2745 North Ridge Trail, Oakville, ON L6H 7A3. As we come together in these sacred moments of remembrance, we pray for the eternal repose of Josefina’s soul: “Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her.” Her life was a beacon of love and faith, and though she has departed from our sight, her memory shines brightly within us all.
