It is with very heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Dad, Jose  Alberto Gomes (Zeca) on Tuesday, March 4th 2025. Born to Perpétua Ferreira Leite and Jose Soares on December 14th, 1940 in Murtosa, Portugal. Jose leaves behind his three children Teresa (Frank) Fonseca, Joe (Sandra) Gomes and Michelle (Jerome) Hamilton. He was adored by his Grandchildren Tatiana (Andrew) DaSilva, Alexandra (Josh) Guindon, Jacob (Megan) Fonseca, Emily (Mubi) Khan, Isabella and Jordan Gomes, Noah and Jack Hamilton. His legacy will carry on in his great-grandsons who called him "E Pa" and "Super-Avo", Leonardo, Mateo, Francis and Tomas.

Jose is predeceased by his loving wife (Maria Jose).

Dad's sense of adventure took him to many corners of the world in search of a better life for his family, before finally settling down in Toronto. He had an entrepreneurial spirit and owned several businesses while raising his family. His sense of humor was unparalleled and infectious. He will be sorely missed by anyone whose life he touched.
