Passed away peacefully at the Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.  John was born in Windsor, Ontario.  He attended Walkerville High School in Windsor and Ridley College in St. Catharines.  He joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1941 as a midshipman, and served on MTBs as a navigator with the rank of lieutenant-commander.  After the war he joined the Ford Motor Company and rose to General Manager of the Parts Division at Ford of Canada.  His great passions were his wife Gene, his family, golf, fishing and reading – not necessarily in that order.  He is survived by his beloved wife Gene, his daughter Andrea and his step-daughter Gale.  He was predeceased by his dear son Rhys.  At John's request there will be no service.  Cremation has already taken place.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer's Society, Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital or the charity of your choice would be appreciated.
