It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved father on Sunday July 22, 2012 at Post Inn Village, Oakville, with his family by his side. Dearly missed by daughter Mary Ann, Jane (Morley), Virginia (Dave). Grandfather of Ann, Richard (Wynsome), Kelly, Christine, Laura and Matthew. Great-grandfather of Hunter (Kelly), Carwyn and Rhys (Richard). Survived by his sister Cecia Piotrowski and brother-in-law John. Being an avid fisherman all his life, he took early retirement and enjoyed his salmon charter fishing cruises out of Bronte Harbour. John continued the tradition of vegetable farming and was an "old time" Bronte resident. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville (1 block east of Kerr St., 905 844-2600) from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Friday. A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 am Saturday July 28, 2012 at St. Dominic Catholic Church, 2415 Rebecca Street, Oakville. Cremation to follow.
