It is with great great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father and husband John Perl. John passed away suddenly on Aug. 11, 2016 in his 84th year. Born Sept. 12, 1931 in Gussing, Austria. He is survived by his wife Mary (of 50 years), son John Jr. and stepson Edward.

Dad was absolutely, 'the best dad in the universe'. He worked tirelessly for his family and always thought of himself last. He was always kind to everyone and helped many people over the years. Dad was a guardian, mentor, friend, and always had something supportive to say. You will be missed more than you know.

He enjoyed his orange, large blooming, hydrangea. The bumble bees that used to visit every summer that hung around him as well as the resident bunny in our backyard. The many trips and time we spent together will never be forgotten.

Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr 905-844-2600), Oakville from 7-9 pm on Friday Aug. 19. A funeral to celebrate John's life will be held at 10 am on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016 at Mary Mother of God Church, 2741 North Ridge Trail (one block south of Dundas) in Oakville.
