John passed away peacefully on July 16, 2019 at the age of 91. John will be lovingly remembered by his wife Phyllis. Dear father of Nancy Parish (Steve Kingston), Kathy, Bill (Teresa), and Edward Evans. Grampy to Lauren (Mats), Dylan (Mireille), Olivia, Nigel and Great Grampy to Emma and baby Nathan. Uncle and Great Uncle to many.

John was born in Hamilton on February 10, 1928. He was predeceased by his parents John and Marion Kate and older siblings Kitty, Dorothy, May, and George.   John was a proud graduate of McMaster University and enjoyed a career with the Bank of Montreal that spanned over 30 years. He retired in 1992 and remained in touch with colleagues and classmates through his involvement with the Probus Club of Oakville and McMaster University Alumni.   John also enjoyed gardening, curling, reading, and spending time with his family and friends.

We would like to thank all those at Palermo Village who have provided John and Phyllis with support over the past three years and the staff of 5 South (Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital) for the care provided to John over the last three months.

A reception will be held on Thursday, July 25 ^th , 2019 at 1:00 pm at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr Street). Donations to the Alzheimer's Society https://alzheimer.ca/en/Home would be appreciated.
