It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John. He passed away peacefully on Tuesday March 25, 2008 following a short and courageous battle with cancer. Pre-deceased by his father Brig. Gen. Rev. Dr. James R. Millar, and his mother Jean F. Millar. Beloved husband and best friend of Carol. Loving father of Heather Skillen (John-John), and Barbara Wilson (Robert). Devoted step-father of Jeff Geneser (Elisa), Steven Geneser (Kathy), and Caryn Smith (Bruce). Dear grandfather of Jessica and Nicholas Skillen, James, Grace, and Emma Geneser, Rachel, Rebecca, Bradley, and Ryan Geneser, and Leland Smith. John was employed at Ford of Canada, and volunteered in numerous capacities within our community. Our family extends many thanks to Dr. Stanton, the Comcare Team, and the irreplaceable and loving care-givers at the Ian Anderson House. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2008 from 2:00pm-4:00pm at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home at 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville. In lieu of flowers our family would appreciate donations to the Ian Anderson House.
