John died peacefully at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital with family at his side on Tuesday, November 8th, 2016 at 78. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Frances Ann McLellan (nee Longfield), his 3 children, Laura (David), Michael (Catherine) & Leanne, his 5 grandchildren (Cassidy, Mitchell, Corey, Cameron & Cady), his two brothers William (and the late Peggy), Alfred (Susan) and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends. He was predeceased by sister Anne Marie Shepley (Charles) and parents Margaret (Childs) and William McLellan. John worked at the Ford Motor Company for 40 years and enjoyed working at Glen Abbey Golf Club in his retirement. He was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis in June, 2015. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr 905-844-2600) Oakville from 5-9 p.m. on Friday, November 11, 2016. Funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2016 in the Kopriva Taylor Chapel. Reception to follow.
