On Monday July 24, 2023 after a brief illness at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.  John, beloved husband of Jane.  Loving father of Jen (Mike Dykstra), Dan (Angela) and James (Lou) MacKay.  Devoted Grandpa of Tyler, Braiden, Carter, Kate and Liam.  Dear brother of Dave (Carol), Dianne (Bruce), Dana (Lauren) and the late Mike (Cynthia).

John will be lovingly remembered by his family and friends including all those whose lives he touched through encounters at his beloved live music venue, the Moonshine Café on Kerr Street in Oakville.

A Celebration of Life to gather to remember John will be announced later.
