Peacefully on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at Visitamere Retirement Residence in Oakville at the age of 101. Beloved husband of the late Janet Jenney-Ledoux of Oakville and husband of the late Eveline DuBois-Ledoux. Beloved father of the late Jeannine Chwaluk-Ledoux and beloved brother of the late Rene Henry Ledoux of Stockton, CA. Two grandsons Mark and Matthew Viney and two great-grandchildren, Justin and Simonne, the children of Mark and Sarah McVanel-Viney. He will be sorely missed by Janet's two sons, Hugh and George and by Carol-Ann. John retired in 1974 from the firm of James Richardson Securities after 44 years of service of which four years were spent as an RCAF Officer in the training of airmen in the Initial Training School Program. On retirement, he was the Manager of the firm's Montreal retails sales office. He was a longtime member of the Summerlea Golf Club in Vaudreuil, P.Q. and served on the Board of Directors. He moved to Oakville in 1977 and from 1978 on, he was a very active member of both The Federal and Provincial Liberal Associations. He was an ardent follower of the Duplicate Bridge Game and was well known within the Oakville and Burlington bridge clubs. A Memorial Service will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville on Sunday, December 5, 2010 at 2 p.m. in the Kopriva Taylor Chapel.
