John Micheal Fedoruk
October 30, 1951 – February 26, 2025
It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of John Fedoruk.
John leaves behind, his devoted and loving wife Patti, his loving sister Linda (Miles), brother-in-law Jim (Sherry), and sisters-in-law Debbie (Jim) and Bev (Rob), and mother-in-law Jean Shipley. John was Unc to Trevor and Michelle, and Uncle to Emma (Brandon), Christopher (Brittney), Adele, Jackson, and Pam (Andy). John was Great Uncle to Ellie, Evan, Simon, Luke, and Nate, as well as cousin to many. John also leaves behind his godchildren Stephanie and Shaeleigh; and so many friends. Oscar and Molly are missing their cat-dad.
John is predeceased by his loving wife Lynn and their two beautiful children Adam and Amanda, brother-in-law Glen Hassall, John's parents Anne and Mickey, mother-in-law Edith Wilson, and father-in-law Tom Shipley.
John's parents moved their young family of four from Toronto to Oakville. A few years later in 1967 their family-owned business, Oakville Rent-All & Sales was born. In 1970 John became a member of the Brotherhood of Boilermakers but he would go on to successfully lead the family business as well as found two of his own companies – Industrial Tool Repair and The Tool Store.
But John was so much more than business. He was funny, and caring, and wild, and passionate. Family always came first, but his love of Mopar muscle, musky & bass fishing, guitars & music, was legendary – if John wasn't involved in the actual activity, he was either reading about it, talking about, or dreaming about it.
As strong as John was, his life was not an easy one. Complications due to advanced Parkinson's Disease and an earlier run-in with cancer, took our beloved John. He fought so hard to stay.
For those of you who know John best – if we hear a rumble in the sky that sounds suspiciously like the throaty growl of vintage Mopar, we will know that it's John driving his treasured Challenger. His elbow is resting on the open driver's side window; he's wearing a white t-shirt, jeans, his cowboy boots, and that smile that won all of our hearts.
Rest in peace John
