After a lengthy illness, with his 4 daughters by his side, John passed away, but not without a valiant effort to make it to tax season. He is reunited with his wife of 58 years Valerie (2014). He will be missed by his daughters Victoria Gibbins-Verdurmen, Melissa Gibbins (Randy Campbell), Stephanie Gibbins-Cudmore (John Cudmore), Melanie Gibbins Dalby (Scott Dalby). Cherished grandpa of Alex Verdurmen (Tara), Matthew, Hayleigh and Sydney Cudmore, Michaela Campbell, and Kiera and Teeghan Dalby. A Service of Remembrance will be held at 7:00 pm Friday, February 6, 2015 in the chapel of the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600). Special recognition and thanks to the staff at West Oak Village and OTMH, especially two very special nurses at OTMH, Anita and Crystal, who guided his final journey with grace and dignity.
