John (Ivan) Balen Jr. passed away at the age of 57 on Saturday April 22nd. He was born on August 27th, 1964 in Croatia. In 1966, John and his sister, Josephine emigrated to Canada with parents, John (Ivan) Sr. and Ika Balen where they settled in Oakville, Ontario. He became an electrician and worked for Indalex until his retirement.
He will be remembered fondly by his many friends and family for his care-free and neighbourly disposition.
John is survived by his father, John (Ivan) Balen Sr., his sisters Josephine (Ljupko) and Mary-Anne (Frank), his nephews Matthew, Michael, Steven and niece Natalie (Tyler).

A visitation will be held on Sunday April 30, 2023 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street) from 6 pm to 8 pm.  Funeral service will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Monday May 1, 2023 at 11 am.  Interment at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery.
