IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Joanne Elaine
Van Hoof
October 29, 1968 – January 9, 2023
Joanne passed away peacefully on Monday, January 9, 2023, at the age of 54, with her sister by her side.
Joanne (Jo) was very adventurous, strong, and independent. Her keen eye for detail allowed her to build a successful business around the two things she loved most – travel and marketing (graphic design). She also had a natural gardening ability along with a very creative side (especially with paint and jewelry). Joanne dedicated a lot of her free time to volunteering both abroad and within the community.
Jo is survived by her mother, Maria van Hoof, her sister, Michele and the many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins in Holland, Switzerland and South Africa. She was a special Auntie to Tyler, Jake, and Abigail. Predeceased by her father, Bill van Hoof.
We are so grateful to the staff at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital for the patience, care and dignity practiced there. We are especially thankful to Dr. Lang, Social Worker Julie, and Nurses Michael and Julie for the compassion, support and kind words expressed throughout her time at J.B.M.H. It means so much.
We will miss her dearly. We are happy her pain is gone. Rest peacefully, watch over us and say hi to Dad. Until we meet again – with Love.
A Funeral Service will be held in the chapel at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home 64 Lakeshore Rd W. Oakville, 11:00 am January 16, 2023 with burial following at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery.
