Passed on June 10, 2012 at her home in Oakville (formerly of Mount Dennis), in her 84th year. Beloved wife of the late Ernie. Loved mother of Jim (Jo-Ann) and Janet (Bill Godber). Cherished grandmother of Billy, Byron, Bobby and Jamie. Sister of the late Basil, Helen, Bob, Patty and Bill. Dear friend of Toby Hawtin. Will be sadly missed by many other family members and friends. Joan was very proud of her Mt. Dennis roots and enjoyed telling many stories about her times there. Visitation will be held at Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville (1 block east of Kerr St., 905 844-2600) from 7-9pm Tuesday with a service celebrating Joan's life on Wednesday, June 13, 2012 at 11 am in the Kopriva chapel.
