Joan Dorothy Moore

October 29, 1940-June 6, 2023

We are saddened to announce the passing of Joan Dorothy Moore at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital June 6. After a long and courageous battle with cancer, she left this world to her well deserved eternal rest, to be with her Lord.

Joan was a loving wife to Gordon Moore (predeceased) and a devoted mother to Eileen Cunningham, Laura  (Ken) Plante and Wayne Passmore.  She loved her grandchildren endlessly.  Jessica (Alex), Kristina (Brian), Josh  (Kassy), Matthew (Shauna), Sarah (Ryan), Bryan, Anna (Ash), Kaitlyn and Brianna will miss her endlessly.  She also leaves 9 great grandchildren, Alivia, Maya, Madison, Noah, Charlie, Rory, Avery, Theo and Lucas.

Joan was born in Montreal and learned early on   how to stand up for herself,  by having her three brothers who took turns tormenting and protecting her!   Edward and David Evans have predeceased her and she leaves her younger brother Doug (Marion) to mourn her loss.

Mom's attitude was quite simple, she would say "Well you just have to get on with this and keep moving"

Joan loved spending time with her many friends, playing Bingo, listening to music, her Timmies coffee and was always up for a trip to the beach or to go swimming!

She will be missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 12, 2:30 P.M. at Central Baptist Church, 340 Rebecca Street, 2nd Floor in Oakville.
