Joan Elizabeth McMaster
May 30, 1927 - December 13, 2024

Joan Elizabeth McMaster passed away peacefully after a long and happy life surrounded by her children, on December 13, 2024 at the age of 97.

Joan's greatest joy in life was her family.   She was the beloved wife of Carson Veitch McMaster , predeceased in 1999.  She leaves behind four children Donna (Glenn), David (Sheila), Lianne (Keith), Scott (Terri).  Joan was a very proud Grandma to Gregory, Meghan, Kevin, Robert, Kayla, Danica, Steven, Brody, Acadia and Bronte and Great-Grandma to Isla, Phoenix, Skye, Charlotte and Sophie.

Joan was born in the Danforth area of Toronto to Reginald and Irene (Laughlin) Fraser and she was the loving sister of Howard Fraser (predeceased).  Joan worked as the executive secretary to the manager of the King Edward Hotel.  She met Carson through the Kew Beach Bible Class. Shortly after marrying Carson they moved to Beaconsville, Quebec for 10 years and they were blessed with  four children.

Joan was happiest spending time with her family at the cottage on Sunset Bay on Lake Muskoka.  Joan was a creative person who enjoyed sewing and painting.  In later years Joan enjoyed special trips to Alaska, Australia and New Zealand.

Joan will be fondly remembered as the heart of the family and her family will be forever grateful to her for her loving ways.  She will be missed by her family and friends.
