It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Joan Lichty on January 5, 2022, at the age of 80 .  Loving mother of Brad (Nadine) and Grandmother of Jessie and  Ashley. She will be dearly missed by her brothers, Ray (Mary) and Matt. Predeceased by her Mother and Father Mary and Jack Boomer.

Joan grew up in Oakville. She was someone who loved to read and do puzzles. She always enjoyed a good mystery novel or TV show. As well, she enjoyed music with a good beat and driving fast.

A former President of The Oakville Singles Club, she took great pride in helping organize dances and events for others to enjoy for many years.

A lady of strong will and character, who had a knack for taking charge and holding court. She made an impact on the lives of the people who knew her with her advice, support and caring.

A special thank you to the all amazing staff, Doctors and Nurses at Joseph Brant Hospital.

A 'Celebration of Life' will be held at a later date with friends and family.
