Jessie Roberta “Bobbie” Hill

March 26th, 1933 - August 2nd, 2026

It is with deep sadness and immense gratitude for a life well lived that we announce the passing of Jessie Roberta “Bobbie” Hill, who passed away peacefully on August 2nd, 2026, at the age of 93.

Bobbie lived a remarkable life filled with love, kindness, adventure, and unwavering determination to live it to its fullest. She worked hard throughout her life, working up until the age of 72. Those who knew her will remember her bright spirit, infectious smile, and her ability to make every day count.

She is lovingly remembered by her husband of 70 years, Geoff Hill; her children, Simon (Jayne), Sally, and Jane (Scott); her cherished grandchildren, Sarah (Daniel), Brendan, Alexander (Jake), Emily (Tom), and Madi (Ryan); and her great-grandchildren, Ella, Grace, and Thomas. Her family was the centre of her world, and nothing brought her greater joy than spending time with them.

Bobbie truly embraced life. Whether it was taking a stroll by Lake Ontario to sit and enjoy a cup of tea, hiking the Bruce Trail, travelling the world, or trying something new, she lived each day with curiosity and gratitude. She was always on the go, filling her weeks with coffee chats at Fortinos, volunteering at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital—a role she continued until just one month before her passing—attending services at St. Jude's Anglican Church in Oakville, enjoying spirited games of Dominoes, and walking the halls at Queen Elizabeth Park Community and Cultural Centre. Her active lifestyle reflected her love of people, community, and making the most of every moment. Bobbie had great love for the dogs she cherished throughout her life.Her kindness extended to all living things, and the love she gave to her furry friends was just another beautiful reflection of the caring and generous person she was.

Bobbie's life was enriched by the many friendships and connections she built over the years. Our family extends heartfelt thanks to Dr. Gail MacPherson and Dr. Anna Sheridan-Jonah for their exceptional care and compassion. We are deeply grateful to the palliative care team, especially Annie Lam and Dr. Kazem as well as the wonderful staff on 3 North CTC. Special thanks to Bobbie's friends from St. Jude's, her Dominoes and hall-walking groups, the dedicated Oakville Transit Care-A-Van drivers, the wonderful staff at Patty's Place, her dear PSW Doris and the staff at AbleLiving, all of whom played an important role in the vibrant, independent life that Bobbie so treasured. The support contributed immeasurably to the wonderful quality of life that Bobbie

enjoyed and cherished.Our family is especially grateful for the extraordinary love, friendship, and unwavering support of Kim Serafini.

Bobbie leaves behind a legacy of love, resilience, generosity, and joy. She taught those around her to embrace life's adventures, treasure family and friends, and never stop moving forward. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. Her light shone brightly—not only in the life she lived, but in the lives she touched. It was a light that made people feel welcome, encouraged, and deeply loved. Though that light is no longer with us in person, its warmth continues to shine through her family, her friendships, and the countless memories she created. Her light will never fade; it lives on in every act of kindness inspired by her, every adventure taken in her spirit, and every heart fortunate enough to have known her.
