It is our deepest sadness to report the passing of Jennifer Margaret Hatton (Jenny), 72, on May 18, 2026. Jenny was born in Toronto, Ontario, on January 29, 1953.

Jenny is survived by her niece, Melissa Dechateauvert, whom she greatly admired; her two sisters, Gail and Deborah Freeman, whom she greatly loved; and her two children, Andrea and Alexander Hatton, whom she always protected.

Jenny was married for many years while working for the Ministry of the Environment and Energy and the Ministry of Community and Social Services, and later retired after decades of service in London, Ontario. Jenny then moved to Oakville, Ontario, to be closer to her loved ones.

Jenny lived her life the way she always wanted to, as a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and daughter in a wonderful and supportive family. A creative, intelligent, and independent flame has been extinguished from this world.

We will miss her always.
