Perkins: Jeannette Anne (nee Johnston)

On October 7, 2023 Jeannette found peace after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease.  Jeannette was born May 24, 1933 in Toronto.  She will be sadly missed by her husband of 69 years, William (Bill) Arthur Perkins. The cherished mother of Leslie Prevost (Randy), Sharon Perkins, Gary Perkins (Tracy). The doting grandmother to Glen, Scott, Brooke and Sara and the proud great grandmother of Hannah, Lillian, Damon, Malcolm and Jude.

Jeannette found joy in tackling new challenges including sewing, quilting, painting, knitting and Tai Chi.  Jeannette and Bill were active volunteers in Parkinson's fundraising.  Her love of food made for many memorable family dinners.  Brownies were her unmatched specialty and were always a big winner among family and friends.

Jeannette cherished her long-time friends, including those from her time at Bell Canada.  She continued to forge new friendships through her lifetime as the family relocated to several new cities.  Her quick wit and sense of humour will be missed and remembered by these old friends and new.

A celebration of life is planned with Jeannette's immediate family.  For those who wish, memorial donations to the Parkinson Foundation would be appreciated.
