Parkes; Jean Sheila - Peacefully, January 31, 2021 in her 96th year. Predeceased by loving husband Thomas Charles Parkes, sons Palmer Quanah Stephens (Sherrian) and Michael Scott Stephens. Survived by loving daughter Lynn Wilson (Gordon) and daughter-in-law Sherrian Stephens of Napanee. Sadly missed by grandchildren Christa Stephens-Lindemann (Rob) of New Jersey, Palmer Stephens (Michelle) of Belleville and Laura Stephens (Hratch) of Toronto. Sadly missed by her great grandchildren Carter, Luke, Rachel and Eli. Jean was a generous, kind woman who volunteered in numerous roles in the Canadian Legion, Colborne Lodge Seniors Centre and Oakville Senior Citizens Residence (OSCR). Jean also loved her time working at Cochrane's Hardware.

The family would like to offer their sincere thanks to the doctors and nurses on 6South at Oakville Trafalgar Hospital for their incredible kindness and warm care in treating Jean. The family would also like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to all the staff at OSCR in not only being the best place to live in your Golden years but for truly making Jean feel at home and a member of the family.

Friends desiring may contribute to the Oakville Senior Citizens Residence (OSCR), and the Canadian Legion, Bronte - branch – 486. The family will hold a private interment at Belleville Cemetery and a memorial reception at a later date. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home – Oakville.
