It is with great sadness our family announces the passing of Jean Irene McGuire on December 11, 2020, in her 89th year at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.  Jean was a daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandma and great grandma to many.

Predeceased by her loving husband Donald McGuire and mother to their four children and their spouses Michael (Jane), Daniel (Ramona), Glenn (Kathleen) and Erin (Mike).  Grandma to David, Christopher, Gwen, Hayley, Marissa, Matthew, Sarah and Nicholas.  Great grandma to Madalynn and those still to come.

Jean was born on June 3, 1931 and lived a long life filled with crafting, painting and a deep love of wool that she shared with her best friend Bonita.  Her home was always decorated in modern design while she surrounded herself with the photos and keepsakes of days past.  Her paintings were many and hung in every room and her ceramics were of the highest quality.

She is predeceased by her parents John and Rebecca McFarlane and sister Rebecca.  Jean had the great stroke of luck to meet and marry Donald who was a member of the Robertson family.  Jean was immediately and forever welcomed and was always a part of this warm, loving family.  It is always with love we mention James and Mary Robertson and Helen, Joan, Glenda, Mary & Margaret, Peter, Jack, Wally, Bob and Jim.

Jean always loved her angels and displayed and showed them her entire life.  The collection was a wonderful corner in each home she had.  While there were wonderfully decorative types her favorites were always the simpler ones because they spoke of her heart.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Society would be appreciated.
