Janette lived a beautiful creative life. She composed herself with elegance and style, and her Irish roots inspired her confident and artistic demeanor. Family and friends remember her as a fashion illustrator, portrait artist, creator of many Canadian Save The Children's Fund Christmas Cards, and illustrator of note cards for Sleeping Children Around the World.

Janette, in her 96th year, passed peacefully in her sleep following this Mother's Day Weekend.

Janette married her beloved husband Celestin Weiler (C.J.) and together they had two children; Lynn (Marty), and Michael (Susan).

Their families brought five grandsons into Janette's life; Max (Michelle), Bradley (Kristine), Christopher (Sarina), Brendan (Rina), Callum, and great grandson Bowen.

Several years after Celestin's death, Janette found a new love with Robert Dunsmore (Bob). A beautiful marriage was celebrated, family and friends attended, and a remarkable partnership of 21 years was enjoyed. Janette welcomed Bob's children Ross, Rosemary, and Kathy into their unique lives.

We cherish our dear mom and friend Janette, and the beautiful life she gave to us.

Please join us in a Celebration of Life for Janette in the Library at Amica Bronte Harbour, 160 Bronte Road, Oakville, on Sunday, May 31st from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Guests are then welcome to join the family at Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. immediately following the Celebration of Life.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada in Janette’s memory.
