Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Dec 27 ^th in her 83 ^rd year.  Janet was born in Rugby, England and moved to Canada in her twenties where she met her beloved husband Tom of 55 years. Janet was deeply dedicated to her family.  She will be loving remembered by Tom, her three daughters Sharon, Linda, Carol Ann, two grandchildren Nyah and Quinn, her brother Hugh (Stephanie), sisters Avril and Norreys (John) and her sister-in-laws Anne and Nancy (Keith) and 11 nieces and nephews. A long-time resident of Oakville, Janet was very involved in her community. She volunteered at the Oakville Hospital for 25 plus years,  St. John's United Church and Brantwood school. She was active at the Curling Club and Oakville Club. Summers were enjoyed at the family cottage at Bruce Beach and winters with her skiing family in the Collingwood area. She will be remembered for her caring, loving warmth and friendly approach to all she met.  She easily made many friends throughout her life. A heart felt thank you to all those who helped her navigated through failing health and dementia.  The family thanks Waterford (LTC) for their compassionate care and Ian Hassell for his ongoing visits over the last year.Visitation is at Kopriva Taylor Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr 905-844-2600) Oakville on Monday, Jan. 2 ^nd , 6 to 9pm.  A memorial service will be at St. John's United Church, Oakville on Tuesday,  January 3 ^rd at 1pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Oakville Hospital Foundation and Acclaim Health Oakville would be appreciated.
