Jane passed away on Thursday, March 3rd, 2016. Jane was surrounded by her daughter and Carmelita, and all her beloved animals; Bridgette, Chance, Polly, Daisy and Misty. Jane was predeceased by her husband Bob and her son Bobby. Jane is survived by her daughter and son in law Janet and Eric Baker, her beloved grandchildren Christie and Robbie Holmes and her dear friend, Julia Kelly. Jane had spent some weeks in the hospital after a fall and had just returned home. The family would like to express its gratitude to the Oakville hospital staff of the 5th floor , Pod 4 and the staff and caregivers of Home Instead who worked lovingly to keep Jane comfortable during her stay these last 5 weeks. Jane led a rich and fulfilling life. She had a passion for animals and championed many causes over the years. Jane was loved by all who knew her; she was a caring and compassionate friend to many. Her generosity will be remembered by all. There will be a visitation on Sunday March 6th from 2 -4 PM at Kopriva Taylor (64 Lakeshore Rd. West Oakville) and a funeral service at the same location at 11 am Monday, March 7th followed by an interment at St. Jude's Cemetery. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Oakville Milton Humane Society or the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital would be appreciated.
