In loving memory of Jane Margaret Steadman who peacefully departed this world on November 11, 2023, surrounded by her devoted children. Reuniting with her beloved husband Douglas Steadman, Jane leaves behind a legacy of love and joy that will forever resonate in the hearts of her family. Jane will be sorely missed by her children Douglas (Lisa), Susan (Mike), and Karen (Andre). She was adored by her grandchildren Stephanie (Braden King), Mark (Lauren), Sam (Tori), Michael, Christine (Trevor), Connor and Alianna. Jane was delighted to meet and hold her great-grandchildren Henry, Kira, and Oliver.

Jane navigated life with resilience and a smile on her face. Her easy-going nature and love for people made her a genuine people person. It was this quality that endeared her to everyone, especially her husband. Jane and Doug, a dynamic duo, stayed curious, always asking questions, and Jane in particular relished a great story.

Jane's zest for life extended to her love of travel, golf, and boating, creating a treasure trove of shared experiences with close friends. A passionate curler with the Dixie Curling Club, Jane cultivated enduring friendships, including her beloved Bridge club ladies who played biweekly for over 50 years. Together they enjoyed girls' weekends, traveling, and many, many parties, often hosted by Jane.

After Doug passed in 2021, Jane was a resident of Wyndham Manor where she was treated gently and lovingly by the wonderful staff in Palermo wing. Jane's family also expresses gratitude to the palliative care staff at OTMH.

Never one to miss a party, as we bid farewell, we can't help but smile at the thought of Jane arriving just in time for her husband's 90th birthday celebration. Jane will be laid to rest with her husband, parents, and brother at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Toronto during a private family service.

In honouring Jane's memory, let us celebrate a life well-lived and the enduring spirit of a woman who embraced every moment with an open heart.
