On Tuesday, June 25, 2024 after a brief illness Jane passed away at the age of 86.  Loving mother of Mary Louise Reed (Kim Lott) Phoenix, AZ, and Doug (Dee) Reed (Joanne) Los Altos, CA. Beloved stepmother of Gregg (Lesley Heal) Parksville, B.C., Julia, Oakville, ON, and Pam (Blair Hudson) Victoria, B.C. Devoted grandmother of Evan and Melissa Reed, Andrew Avery, Laura McVicar and Graeme Hudson. Predeceased by loving husband William (Bill) in 2004, her parents, Charles and Helen (nee French), brother Christopher and sister Mary. Affectionately remembered by brother Ian (Karen) Calgary, AB, sister Faith (Roy Jacobs) Toronto, ON and sister-in-law Michelle, Penticton, B.C. Graduate of Trinity College, the University of Toronto and Havergal College, Toronto.

Throughout her life, Jane pursued challenges with determination, whether triumphing on the tennis court, cultivating a thriving garden, undertaking complex home renovation projects, or crafting intricate Icelandic sweaters.

She will be remembered for her sharp intellect, quick wit and penchant for being candid with her thoughts and suggestions. Her family was a source of joy to her and her grandchildren were her constant pride and inspiration.

A memorial service is planned with reception to follow.
