Suddenly on Saturday December 29, 2012 at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, in his 79th year. Jim, beloved husband of Carol. Loved father of Carey and her husband Don Galivan, Diane McCarty and her partner Kenneth Kenmuir and Mike and his wife Jennifer. Dear grandfather of Robert, Shannon, Nicole and the late Matthew. Jim is survived by his sisters Barbara, Marie and brother Rev. Don McCarty. He is predeceased by two brothers and one sister. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville (one block east of Kerr St., 905-844-2600) from 2-4 & 7-9 pm Thursday. Funeral service 1:00 pm Friday January 4, 2013 in the Kopriva Taylor Chapel. Interment Burlington Memorial Gardens.
