It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James McCallan on April 25, 2011, after a long & courageous battle with cancer. James is predeceased by his beloved wife, Glennis in 1993 and his parents, Alexander and Irene McCallan. Cherished father of Craig (Kelly), and Sandy (Bryan) and dearly loved Grandpa of Harmony and London. James is survived by his sister Peggy (Jack), Shirley (Robert) and sister in-laws Linda and Susan and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a warm thank you to Lily and Drew Smith and family. As well to his many friends, staff and doctors at Credit Valley Hospital Oncology Medicine Clinic department along with the nurses of Saint Elizabeth Health Care and the Red Cross personal support workers and CCAC for their care and compassion shown to James. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated. James you are loved and will be missed but it is time now to rest.
Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600), Oakville on Thursday, April 28th between 7-9pm. Funeral service to be held at 11 am Friday, April 29, 2011 at Evangel Pentecostal Church, 1450 Rebecca Street, Oakville. Reception to follow.
