Peacefully on Thursday January 24, 2013 at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, at age 94. Predeceased by his beloved wife of 70 years, Hilda. Jim is survived by his daughter Rosemary Moree (late Reno) and grandchildren Alexander Moree (Debbie) and Nicole Banfield (Greg). Also survived by his sister Jean and brother Robert. Predeceased by sister Mae and brother Stanley. He will be also missed by numerous nieces and nephews and his many friends he made throughout his life. Jim worked at many jobs in his lifetime. He was a mechanic for Kennedy Ford for many years until retirement, as well he was a projectionist for the old Odeon Theatre in downtown Oakville, following in his father's footsteps. Jim was a Past Master of Oakville Masonic 400, lifetime member of Scottish Rite, White Oaks Chapter, Knights of Templar and an amateur radio enthusiast. Born in Scotland, he moved with his family to Hamilton, then Oakville while still young. Jim was a lovely man who truly enjoyed meeting and talking to people. He always had a smile and always told people to "Have a good one". He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville (1 block east of Kerr St., 905-844-2600) from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday. Funeral service 11:00 a.m. Thursday January 31, 2013 at Knox Presbyterian Church, 89 Dunn Street, Oakville. Interment Trafalgar Lawn Cemetery.
