On Sunday May 17, 2009 at his home with family, Jim in his 44th year, after battling brain cancer since 2001. Jim lived through this with the utmost courage and serenity and had a favorite expression: "It is what it is". Beloved husband of Patricia Martin-Richardson, and adored father of Darryl and Jocelyn. Loved son of Don and Doris (Hill) Richardson. Loved brother of Beth (Terry), Sharon (Scott), Steve, Bruce (Ann) and Andy. Brother in law to Patricia's sister Heather (Jeff). Jim was well loved by many nieces, nephews, family and friends. He will always be remembered by being a sports champion in soccer, football, hockey, baseball and many sports, but most of all as a gentleman on the field. Jim worked at OSFI, the financial institutions auditor and was well respected by his colleagues. He was raised and schooled in Scarborough, Ontario and attended U of T Scarborough Campus. Darryl, Jocelyn and the rest of us will never forget our favourite "Big Guy". Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd.
