Obituary

Passed away peacefully at Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, on Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at the age of 91. Beloved husband of Doris (Tidey) of 66 years. Loving and devoted father of Pamela Button. Predeceased by son David and brothers Ross, Allan and Neil. Survived by his sister Enid Browne and brother-in-law Vernon Browne, sisters-in-law, Margaret Jamieson, Hilda Turner and brother-in-law Jim Turner and numerous nieces and nephews. Jack served in World War II as a Dispatch Rider. He devoted many years to the dairy industry and the Ontario Milk Marketing Board. Visitation will be held at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Rd. West, Oakville, (one block east of Kerr, 905-844-2600) from 2-4 p.m. Friday. A Service of Thanksgiving celebrating the life of Jack will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Hopedale Presbyterian Church, 156 Third Line, Oakville. Interment Burlington Memorial Gardens. Donations to the Autism Society Canada, Box 22017, 1670 Heron Road, Ottawa, ON K1V 0C2 or the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 7100 Woodbine Avenue, Suite 311, Markham, ON L3R 5J2 would be appreciated by the family.
